How it works

Three taps between a plate and a plan for your afternoon.

Burnup does not ask you to weigh anything or search a database of 400 kinds of rice. It looks at the meal, models the digestion, and tells you what your day now looks like.

1

Scan the plate

Frame the whole meal. Burnup estimates protein, carbs, fat and the glycemic load in a couple of seconds — no weighing, no manual entry.

2

Watch it digest

Your energy reservoir fills, then drains through each digestion phase. A live countdown tells you when your stomach will be empty again.

3

Time your day

See your peak energy window and your next slump on a 24-hour curve, and get a re-fuel window with how much to eat before it hits.

What is inside

Everything you need to eat for the day you actually have.

Energy reservoir

One ring shows the energy available to you right now, and how long until your stomach is empty. No mental math, no food diary to interpret.

Meal scanning

Point the camera at your plate and get a macro breakdown with a glycemic read, folded straight into the rest of your day.

Peak & dip forecast

A 24-hour curve marks your peak assimilation window and the post-meal slump before you feel it, so you can move the meeting instead of pushing through.

Re-fuel windows

Burnup tells you when to eat next and roughly how much — protein-forward, light, or a full meal — instead of leaving you to guess at 4 PM.

One-tap quick log

Water, coffee, fruit and snacks are a single tap from the dashboard. Caffeine and small inputs shift the curve too, and Burnup accounts for them.

Trends & streaks

See how last week's eating pattern moved your energy, and keep a streak going for the habits that actually made a difference.

Questions

Good to know

What is Burnup?

Burnup is an upcoming iPhone app that models what your food does to your energy. Instead of stopping at a calorie total, it tracks how long a meal takes to digest, how much energy you have available right now, and when your next peak and slump are coming.

How does meal scanning work?

You point your camera at a plate and Burnup estimates the macros — protein, carbs and fat — along with the glycemic load, then folds that into your energy curve for the rest of the day.

Is this just another calorie counter?

No. Calories tell you what you ate. Burnup tells you when your body will actually be able to use it, so you can time training, deep work and your next meal around your real energy availability.

Is Burnup related to Strainup?

Burnup is a separate product from the same developer as Strainup, the flexible workout builder for iPhone and Apple Watch. The two apps share a home on strainup.fr but are built and used independently.

When does it launch?

Burnup is in active development for iOS. Join the waitlist to get the TestFlight invite before the public App Store release.
